  This place was great! They had 2 for 1 margaritas which lured us in, to be honest I didn't expect the food to be that great...but was totally wrong. I ordered the chicken Cesar salad and OMG it was superb. It had an amazing view of Malecón, as we got a table right by the railing.
  
  There was a fireworks show that night so while Malecón was totally packed with people, we got the enjoy the fireworks sitting down with awesome food and drinks. They place was not very busy either and they have bathrooms inside. It is on the 3d floor of the building, right above an Irish pub. Totally worth checking out! What a great find.

  So.... we wandered into this spot as a former Texan and a girl from Denver who knows nothing about fab Mexican food... she does, however, respect guacamole and fajitas and wanted nothing more than to find something worth a damn in Puerto. Albert is the manager / the man... he recommended food, which we didn't eat because again; the Denver girl was nuts for Chicken fajitas.  Here is what I know... I am from Texas and we have the best food in the world: Una Familia wants to rival that. Fabulous views. Killer cuisine. Do yourself a favor and hit this place up. It's so so so good!

  This was probably my favorite restaurant during our two week stay in Puerto Vallarta.  It's a little hard to find the place because you have to go up two flights of stairs, through an Irish pub, but it was a great find!  
  
  The owner, Edwin, talked with us about the restaurant name. Not only are they family friendly, but they purchase most of their ingredients from local farms, to support local families, hence the name.
  
  The freshness was evident in the food. The service was quick. The staff was friendly.  I'll be back for more.

  We were wrangled here from the Malecon by an enterprising guy and are we glad we came.  This place is a large family run restaurant with lots of seafood on the menu.  The decor is no frills but the food is pretty good.  Stay away from the non-seafood as its not as good.
  
  We tried its and pieces of everything but the best dishes were the whole red snappers, with my favorite being the one in diabla sauce.  The ceviche was also excellent.  Service was also good here albeit a bit slow.  They take dollars, pesos and credit card.  A good place to eat a bit off the beaten path.  Thumbs up.
